Don't malign pigs

Published in the NY DAILY NEWS, Sept. 25, 2005 (in reference to an article about the disgraced CEOs who looted the Tyco Corporation):

Yonkers: Why is despicable behavior named after animals ("Little piggies," Sept. 20)? Pigs didn't loot and bankrupt a company; pigs didn't buy a $6000 shower curtain; pigs didn't throw themselves a $2 million birthday party with stolen money. Language is powerful; it shapes thoughts and molds minds. Please don't dump ugly terms on innocent beings that contributed nothing bad to this Earth.
