Letters
I worked in the horse racing industry
Letter to ADOW from Amanda Jones Sadly for my sins I worked in the racing industry
breaking for a guy called Roy Trigg in Billingshurst, who broke for Guy
Harwood in Pulborough. Everything you say is so true - I saw everything
in the raw - and it didn't matter how much the fillies and colts were
worth! I'm glad I was there, as what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
- and it has made me a stronger campaigner against the racing industry!!
Hi - thank
you so much for that - yes by all means use my letter. The things I saw
were atrocious!!! You know we had a Sir Ivor filly in at a year old who
had been given an injection on the plane as she had started to panic.
She had a huge lump in her neck - presumably this was the jab site? She
wasn't good on her legs really. Roy Trig tried to break her in the next
day! She dropped to her knees and wouldn't move - he beat her and beat
her leaving welts as wide as 3 inches. He then lit a fire under her tail
using some hay to get her up. When she finally got back into the stable
yard we had to hose her down for 3 hours solid to get the welts to go
down as her famous-heart-surgeon owner was visiting the next day! When
he arrived he offered me 100 tip as usual. I refused his money and left
the next day. All the very best. Fair Use Notice: This document may contain
