Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Jack - 10 Apr 2004
I stumbled onto your site somehow, although I wasnít looking for such a site. I'm not sure I'm glad I found it or not. I suppose I always knew these types of atrocities took place. However, I never saw such graphic photos and I'm sure there are far worse that havenít been seen.
I'm an animal lover, especially of dogs, but I have compassion for any animal. After viewing the photos and reading the excerpts which went along with the photos, I have to admit that I'm completely and utterly disgusted with what I saw. It was despicable.
I'm in Law Enforcement and the laws governing animals do not carry stiff penalties, and the resources put into stopping cruelty is minimal.
I'm embarrassed to even call myself a human being knowing my race could inflict such pain and suffering on defenseless animals. Also, I'm not going to tell you I will stop eating poultry or meat (at least not right away); I would be lying if I made that claim. But I will say this: I'm going to do my best to be consciously aware of my eating habits and I'm going to seriously attempt to reduce my animal intake. I think this will be extremely hard, but for the sake of not contributing to the BUTCHERS! who do these horrific things to animals, this I will do. Growing up in a certain way of life and habits is very difficult to change, but I'm going to try.
Keep up the good work with your site because change starts with awareness. People need to be educated; education is KEY.
I'm so dumb-founded by what I saw, this will stick with me for days.
Thanks for the education.

Thank you very much for your letter and compassionate comments.
When our hearts and souls are focused upon ending the suffering of others, we find ways of bringing it to reality. Love and compassion can be just as "contagious" as evil and violence. We just need to spread the truth around.
We have a large recipe section on our web site that should help you in your transition to eating compassionately: http://www.all-creatures.org/recipes.html
We look forward to hearing from you again.
In the Love of the Lord,
