Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Annie Hiller - 19 Jun 2005
My brother and I were wondering what we as people could do to attempt to stop all the in-humane treatment of animals.
Seeing what happens to raccoon dogs and the other animals gave me a sadness that was so immense, it's indescribable. Like the sadness of a person who does nothing but love others, and yet receives only hurt. Even sadder than that. Unreal sadness...
Please tell me what we can do to stop this crater on the human soul from growing and becoming more twisted.

Thank you very much for writing and for expressing your immense sadness over the atrocities committed upon animals, and for your offer to help.
As you saw in the left column of the animal exploitation sections, there are many things we can do to help change the world, the most important of these is the education of the public and being a credible witness in the process. Many of these people would change if they say what you saw. People need to become emotionally involved with the horror, just as you and your brother have learned, for us to desire to end the suffering.
You seem to be a good writer, and we'd be happy to publish any articles you might like to write, which would reach many people, particularly when you write about how you feel about the situation, just as you did to us, but in a little more depth. You can also include photos to amplify your points.
We would also welcome anything else you can suggest, or would like to do.
We look forward to hearing from you.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
