Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Jane Winton - 25 Oct 2005
I am a 16 year old girl who is into duck keeping, and I would just like to say about how touched I am after seeing those appalling images.
I feel it is good that you captured those images, but at the same time bad things as such should not even exist-I am in total shock, in fact after seeing that and other images I have seen of other types of birds and animals treated in a similar way-I am strongly considering to become a vegetarian.
Right now I feel so sick to know things like this is going on all over the world.
I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to start a duck society which may with our help change the law on animal/duck cruelty, so that people carrying out these sinful works will suffer too, either by spending years in jail, and paying a high penalty, or something else more harsh.
I am totally against this act where these poor innocent creatures have to suffer. And the sad thing about it is, that the creatures are so intelligent but lots of people do not realise, and even if they know a little about their intelligence-they do not care, they treat them like objects or see them as a lower ranking to them.
Knowing about things like this sends me beyond angry, I could not think of anything else that would send me flipping, as such.
It would be nice receive a reply from you, sharing your views, and also for me to be sure that you have received this!
Let me warn you that I am slightly out of the habit of emailing or using computers, but I will try to get back to you soon when I remember, and once I know you are there!

Thank you very much for writing, and for your very good suggestions.
Just as you became outraged at this cruelty, and want to become vegetarian because of it. We need to inform the public in any and every peaceful way we can and ask them to join us in our efforts to stop the cruelty. And hopefully their outrage at this cruelty will bring them to becoming vegetarian, too. For every person who doesn't eat animal products, at least 3 land animals every month are saved form the pain, suffering and death of animal agriculture. In addition a lot of sea creatures are also saved.
You also might be interested in our recipe section which has a lot of good ideas to help you in your transition away from animal products. www.all-creatures.org/recipes.html
We look forward to hearing from you again.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
