Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Ruby Hofeling - 18 Nov 2005
I've read about all of the torture and abuse towards animals, and I think it's a good thing you've made a whole website dedicated to this stuff. But, I sort of think that a lot of this was pointed toward religion, and a lot of people (including me) have no religion at all. It is not offensive, but sometimes references from the Bible have come in place, and I see it unrelated to the abuse of animals.
Someone has told me they know no abuse is inflicted on cows because a Uncle farms them and raises them for up to five or ten years before they are slaughtered. When I showed them what happened elsewhere, they were shocked.
Thank you for showing everyone the truth and awfulness of the matter,

Thank you for your kind words and visit.
When we first decided to start our internet ministry in 1997, a recent survey had been published which indicated that 90% of Americans considered themselves to be religious, and 85% considered themselves to be Christian. Thus, we sought to reach out to the 85% with our messages of compassionate living. In 1998 we retired from church ministry to concentrate full time on our internet ministry.
Furthermore, many people had drifted away from Christianity and the Church because of the hardness of heart that they felt. So we decided to reach out to these people and let them know that not all Christians were like that.
In the past 8 years, our outreach ministry has been successful beyond anything we thought possible when we first started it.
We hope you understand.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
