Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Deb - 29 Nov 2005
Dear Frank and Mary,
Thank you so much for your response. You've given me much to think about. I'd like to study some more in the scriptures. I do understand what you are saying...become fishers of men. It makes sense. I guess I hadn't really thought of it that way before. Meaning, I never thought of that as meaning He didn't want them to eat fish any longer. Those barley loaves that they ate certainly weren't thought of as "tasty" but when one is filled with the Lord, they are filled completely.
If you don't mind me asking, where did your inspiration to put up your website come from? How long have you been vegetarian? I know others who eat fish and dairy only but few who consider all that comes from animals...including eggs and milk.
Thank you again for your time, I appreciate it!

We began our vegetarian journey over 30 years ago for reasons of compassion and have been vegan for more than 18 years.
We had been trying to teach God's message of peace, compassion, and love for the whole of creation for many years, but became very discouraged that few people in the churches accepted it, and that the response from our fellow clergy was even hostile at times. So, in 1996 we started thinking of better ways to spread our message and came to the conclusion that we should try using the internet. By 1997 we realized that even through email discussion groups, we were having a lot more acceptance. This prompted us to form our charitable Foundation that same year and in Jan 1998 we launched our web site. Today, we reach more than 15 times as many people in a single day than we had reached in the total of the last 10 years of our church ministry.
Also, we sometimes use barley in our bread, and it is quite good.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
