Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Kay - 24 Dec 2005
Thank you for those incredible photos. I was interested to learn about raccoon dogs, whose horrible exploitation I had seen on a peta web site as well as yours. Previously I did not know there was such an animal.
I had thought that peta was talking about raccoons. I am glad you have the photos there for all to see and make the direct connection of this cruel violence to fur garments.
I looked at various other parts of your excellent site. The task is overwhelming, isn't it? Everywhere one turns there is exploitation of animals, at best a thoughtlessness regarding their welfare.
Whose brochure would you say is the best one to give to someone to convince them not to wear or sell fur? Perhaps your pictures of the murder of raccoon dogs would be effective. I see fur trim on garments and would like to send a letter and brochure to the management of Ross Stores, for example.
You really have a superb site that is, I'm sure, raising awareness of these painful issues.

Thank you very much for your very encouraging comments.
It does seem to get overwhelming at times, but then we see the results and it strengthens us to do more.
In our opinion, the key to changing a person's mind is to effect them emotionally. Once they become emotionally involved they are more likely to do something about taking a stand against fur and other abuse of animals. This usually begins with shocking them with the reality of the horror before they have a chance to say, no. We don't know of any really good brochure that does this. So, if you can put something together using our photos, that would be great.
Also, have you seen the movie, The Witness. It's also a great tool to use to emotionally involve people in the horrors of the fur industry. If you haven't seen it, we have a review of it in the book and video review section of our web site.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
