From Keryn Lonie - 21 Jan 2006

Hi,

My name is Keryn Lonie. I am 17 and from Australia. I have just visited your site for the second time and once again I brought myself to look at the pictures on your website, which once again brought me to tears.

It saddens me to think how heartless humans can be toward other living creatures. It shocks me to think that people no matter how heartless and cruel can have the guts to go through with these acts of exploitation.

I have many animals myself as I live on a farm and thinking about someone doing that to my animals shocks me to death. I am also afraid to go through with selling any of my animals as I couldn't bear thinking that some cruel cruel person could do that to them.

I support WWF and RSPCA but this doesn't make a big enough contribution as I would like. I hope with all your power you are trying to do as much as you can by showing the people of the world how cruel these acts are and opening them up to the harsh reality of human existence.

Thank you

Dear Keryn:

Thank you very much for writing to us.

The problem with WWF and RSPCA is that they very rarely show the whole truth about the atrocities inflicted upon animals, particularly farm animals. They couch the truth so as not to offend the "doggie and kitty" people, but in so doing, they inadvertently promote the cruelty they say that they want to prevent.

As you wrote, the only way we are going to stop the cruelty is to fully and honestly present the truth in all its gory details, and spread the message to as many people as we can, and ask them to join us in ending the pain and suffering. We need to speak out and write letters. You can also refer others to our web site so that they can see for themselves.

Your feeling about your animals places you between a rock and a hard place, so to speak, because there is really no way to humanely slaughter any animal, and most, as you have learned, have miserable lives up to that point, too. Perhaps you and your family could work at converting your farm to crop production.

We look forward to hearing from you again.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
