I've spent the afternoon perusing your excellent site, and feeling both violently ill at the atrocities documented, and gratified that you have taken measures to expose the depravity.

I am impressed at how you support your views with quotations of scripture.

I am curious however of how you refute the statements made by the Lord to Moses in Leviticus 1 - 3 on the nature of "proper animal sacrifice."

I await your response.

Dear A:

Thank you for your visit and encouraging words.

God's original intent was that we were all to be obedient to His will. After the Fall, God granted a series of concessions to help guide people back to Him. One of those concession was the sacrifice, but we also need to remember that Jesus was the last sacrifice, and thus there has been no further "need" for either a sacrifice or the killing of an animal.

Even from a Hebrew Testament standpoint, if the people didn't sin, there was no need for a sacrifice. You might be interested in reading: http://www.all-creatures.org/sermons98/s17mar2002.html
