Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Rebecca - 19 Nov 2006
I am only seventeen, and have never been much of an activist. I'm training to be an artist and was looking online for pictures of racing dogs because I think they're very beautiful.
I came across your website during my search, and I'm completely heartbroken. I knew people did awful things, but this is unbelievable. I have two dogs, one adopted, and one bought from a good breeder. Next year I am going to college in either Chicago or Philadelphia, where I will be able to live off-campus, and I would like to adopt a dog and save it from that kind of torture.
I feel bad knowing there is not much that I can do. It's disgusting what people do to the living and feeling creatures around them. I'm never going to eat meat again.
Those poor things... it made me cry. Especially thinking about my own
dogs in that situation. Any dog. It's awful. Please let me know what I can
do to help.

Thank you very much for writing. You’re off to a good start by eschewing meat from your diet.
You can learn of other ways to help animals by visiting our new section: Animal Rights Activism.
The most important thing any of us can do is to spread the truth about the atrocities committed against animals to as many people as we can. Please tell everyone you know and refer them to our web site so that they can see for themselves.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
