Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Samantha Overy - 12 Jan 2007
I cannot believe the endless extent of vicious cruelty, negligence and lack of compassion shown by some human beings. I have seen many abuses to many animals on many web pages over the last few weeks and it's not what I see that does my head in, it's knowing that so many more are suffering the same fate every minute of every day and I find it so hard to bear and to stomach.
There is no creature that escapes cruelty and horrific abuses. I have heard people describe certain animals as cruel killers!! No animal on earth could begin to rival a human for cruelty and they do it to survive, humans do it because they can.
I live in the hope that these people/sadists will reap their deeds at least tenfold. It's the only way I can get my head around it. I am as animals and they are as me and every time I see battery hens or other intensively farmed animals I am reminded of the Jews and the slaves.
It is that awful lack of being able to alleviate yourself in any way shape or form and to be aware of all that is going on around you. IT DOESN'T BEAR THINKING ABOUT, but I can't stop, so I need to do whatever I can to save all animals.
I am in Australia and am trying to help abolish sow stalls at present but the list of causes is endless so I sign petitions and click to donate etc.
I can't believe it's illegal to treat your pet like this but a 'produce' or lab animal is not extended the same benefit even though it suffers no less. When I see these helpless beings being hurt and tortured it makes me feel like giving the perpetrator a taste of their own medicine.
My name is Samantha Overy. Thank-you for your time and may we one day see equality for all beings whether great, small or somewhere in between.

Thank you very much for writing and for telling us about all that you are doing.
All of these atrocities take a toll on our emotions, too, but what keeps us going is knowing that as long as we fight for the rights of the animals, we will save some in the process of saving them all.
The main thing that these animal exploiters donít want is to have their deeds exposed to the world. So every time we talk about these horrors to others and refer them to places where they can see for themselves, such as our web site, we help to bring an end to the cruelty.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
