Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Mary Joseph - 19 Feb 2007
Thank you for this very informative website.
I did not know such cruelty exists in the world. I feel very sorry for the animals who have to endure all the sufferings. I live in Kenya, Africa. I have been a meat eater all my life. I love animals and I treat them fairly, especially cats. I am also a Catholic.
You said that many of these animals are being tested for medicinal purposes. I believe that God can cure all diseases and we are responsible for all diseases that fall upon us.
I believe with all my heart that if we are to all change all diseases would disappear!
In our country, we do not have large scale factories which produce our meat. most of our cattle come from pastoralists (massai), and they treat animals very fairly. We mostly buy live chicken (here in our country we mostly buy live animals). We do not trust frozen meat and our butcheries pick the cows themselves so as to guarantee freshness and quality of meat.
All our eggs are grown by small scale farmers who do not confine our chickens in small cages. this makes our egg prices to soar so I don't eat a lot of eggs (once every six months or so. I also eat chicken once a year due to very high prices).
Right now we have a cow disease outbreak so nobody in our country is really eating meat. we are all turning to be a vegetarian country (Chicken and fish prices are through the roof and are scarce while other countries have refused our exported meat).
Thank you very much for this website. I will put in among my favorites.
Mary R. Joseph.

It’s very nice to hear from you.
Like you, we believe that we suffer for the sins of our society, and most of our human diseases seem to come from the way we treat animals and from eating their flesh and bodily secretions.
If we all would stop eating animal products, we believe we’d be a whole lot healthier.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
