Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From MMarkcross - 8 Jan 2003
I have always heard stories of animal cruelty when growing up.....mostly such things as somebody hitting their dog etc.....things I felt bad about hearing but it has only been within the last few months of reading and looking at pictures such as on this site that the full extent of "the most horrendous, hellish, pure evil" things so called humans do came to reality. I can't ever understand what thoughts these people have. It sickens me and embarrasses me to even be a human being like them.
I have always had animals for pets since I was little and never thought of killing and eating them. Eating one of my chickens would have been like eating a pet parakeet! I now have my own place and have quite a few "pets" including a steer who is over four years old now and still my baby. They can become expensive but they give me companionship, laughter, joy and a love of nature and a closeness to God.
Thank you very much for your comments.
We believe that one of the reasons that people do the things they do to animals is that they can get away with it. For the most part, what they do is hidden from the public. Part of our mission is to help make people aware of these atrocities, so that they become accountable for their actions, whether in the cruel production or in the eating.
In the Love of the Lord,
