The Northwest Animal Rights Network
(NARN) has offered to donate $5,000
in matching funds to the Primate Freedom Tour. This potential $10,000
donation would assure that the Tour would be able to cover basic
expenses
throughout the summer.
To date, only the Animal Protection Institute (API) and
In Defense of Animals
(IDA) have made sizable contributions. Jews for Animal Rights and PeTA
have each made smaller donations.
The bulk of the funding has come from grass roots
supporters and Tour
organizers.
Stopping at 20 large primate laboratories for
around-the-clock vigils and
public education, this three month-long event will generate an awareness
of
the Mengele style experiments being conducted on animals which are
selected specifically because of their emotional and cognitive
attributes.
Opportunity for public debate will abound.
The Primate Freedom Tour will be a virtual world-wide
event. Constant up-
dates, narratives and images of Tour events will be available at
http://www.primatefreedomtour.org

The Northwest Animal Rights Network's offer of $5,000 in
matching funds
is in need of a partner.
