Animal Protection of New Mexico, Inc. (APNM) seeks a
highly self-motivated, energetic individual to implement its Companion
Animal Rescue Effort (CARE) project. The position involves establishing
and maintaining self-sustaining pilot programs in Santa Fe and
Albuquerque that provide foster homes for companion animals of domestic
violence victims. This will enable human victims to leave their violent
homes and provide a safe environment for the animals.
The position is a temporary full-time position which
will require at least a 6-month commitment, with the possibility of up
to a one-year contract, working in either Santa Fe or Albuquerque.
Salary range: $25,000 - $28,500 depending on experience, and health
benefits. Preferred candidates will have excellent writing, speaking and
people skills, knowledge of New Mexico, be experienced in affecting
public policy, have working knowledge of computers/internet, and be
fluent in Spanish.
