Hunting
Comments by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 6 Apr 2006

Dear Steven:

Thank you for writing, and for your kind words about our web site and ministry.

We don't understand your position about hunting. Hunting is classified as a sport, and since the animal's blood is spilled in the act of killing, that makes it a blood sport.

You also say that you like to hunt, which further emphasizes the definition of a sport.

Since humans don't need to eat animal products to live a long and healthy life, the killing of animals is totally unnecessary, whether or not a person eats every killed animal. So this brings us back to the sense that the killing is for pleasure and not for need.

You also say that you love animals, but at the same time you say you like taking away the life God gave them. This just doesn't make any sense.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
