My own father didn't get it, considered it a manhood trait to kill and feel
nothing. He saw me as less than a man. He was proud to kill bunny rabbits
that ate "his" cactus around his house.
When it came time for him to die, it took two years, knowing that he only
had two years to live. Then he died a slow suffocating death, as lung cancer
(that started as kidney and bladder cancer) slowly cut off his air, a little
more each day.
It made me think about karma.
