Our subjects cover: animals, religion (Christian, Jewish and others); diet and lifestyle (vegan and vegetarian); and other miscellaneous subjects.
Of course you are right on all accounts, Joyce.
Maybe I'm too far ahead.
I look at the eating of animals as a road block on the path to enlightenment and knowledge of our creator. I don't fully understand why I walk this path and so few other people care about it.
Sure, to encourage vegetarianism in terms of health is more likely to reach people, but it focuses on "Self" and is the opposite direction on the road to enlightenment.
I guess that is why I'm always talking about higher level thinking around those that are happy to be on the bottom level, and I get frustrated.
I see our biggest and highest purpose as to be enlightened to the true nature of our Creator and the life forms that our Creator takes and the truth about what life is, why it is, and the reasons for it, who has it and how sacred it all is, and none of these concerns are addressed by focusing on one's own self.
But sure, a vegetarian for whatever reason, saves animals from suffering, so what ever works is good for the animals.
I guess that I keep thinking that I can reach people on a higher level than they really exist on, or care to exist on. I've been swimming in the deep end of the pool so long, it is hard for me to relate to those that are happy in the shallow end.
