Dedicated to cruelty free living through a vegetarian vegan lifestyle.
In 1997 Frank and Mary Hoffman were discussing how they could most effectively spread their message of compassionate living for humans, animals, and the environment to as many people as possible.
They decided to form The Mary T. and Frank L. Hoffman Family Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt, charitable organization. This insured the most prudent use of funds.
Additionally, in January 1998 they began the www.all-creatures.org web site which is dedicated to promoting cruelty-free living through a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle according to Judeo-Christian ethics. Their stated mission is, "Unconditional love and compassion is the foundation of our peaceful means of accomplishing this goal for all of God's creatures, whether human or otherwise.
They are trying to reintroduce true unconditional love and compassion for people, animals, and the environment in religious institutions and to provide comfort to compassionate people who have been "hurt" and/or turned away by these same institutions who fail to live up to the scriptures they preach.
The Hoffmans remember how happy they were when they had all of ten visitors to their web site per day! By the end of the first year, the number of visitors per day had grown to 100. The web site has continued to grow to the point that in the year 2007 they had over ten million visitors, generating million of hits to their more than 55,000 published documents.
One of the busiest section of their web site is the on-line vegan cookbook which receives an average of 3,000 hits per day. Other sections of the web site include animal rights, articles, poetry, stories, spiritual and inspirational writings, and extensive art and photo journals which include Mary's watercolors.
In addition, they host web sites for many non-profit grassroots organizations, including Animalkind based in Hudson, New York; The Catholic Study Circle for Animal Welfare based in Oxford, England; The Committee to Abolish Sport Hunting based in New Paltz, New York; Stop Animal Exploitation Now! and World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week based in Ohio, and many others.
This web site has something for everyone!
