A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from All-Creatures.org

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Labor Day – 3 September 2007
By Mary T. Hoffman

I hope you’re having a pleasant Labor Day. Please visit http://www.all-creatures.org/heart/blog-20060904.html for some of my thoughts about Labor Day.

Here in upstate New York we’ve been having beautiful weather, and no rain is forecast until Friday. Whenever we say we’re from New York, sometimes people think of New York City and the hustle and bustle of that large metropolis. But traveling just a few miles north of the City opens up a whole inspiring panorama of nature that changes with the four seasons. We’ve been to many different states and even a few countries, but this is definitely our idea of the ideal place to live.

To look at some of our nature photos, mostly from upstate New York, please visit:
