Letter from Elaine Tavener about Grieving and Our Ministry - 30 Aug 2005

Re: In Memory of My First Born Sam

What a beautiful tribute!

Having recently gone through the loss of our darling little dog, Trinket, (who was 18 years old), I thoroughly relate to Susan's beautiful words.

Although my husband and I are still grieving, we have adopted a wonderful little guy, 6 years old, who lost his Mommy to cancer. He has brought such love and fun to our lives. He had a problem with separation anxiety, but he is doing really well and loves us unconditionally. He also enjoys our two cats albeit they rather ignore him most of the time.

I love this website - In this world filled with violence and sadness, it is very soothing and comforting to read stories about the many caring compassionate people and the love for the animals in their lives.

Thank you for your contribution in spreading kindness and compassion to the world!

Sincerely,

Elaine Tavener - (An animal advocate and 'vegan' vegetarian) Ontario - Canada

Dear Elaine:

Thank you very much for your letter and kind words. We can empathize with your loss, having gone through such situations many times ourselves. Grieving doesn't go away right away, it all part of deeply loving another living soul, but as time go by, most of what you'll remember will be the wonderful time you and Bill had with Trinket.

Trinket is now with God in heaven, and one day you will be united in a time where there will be no more death or pain or mourning, and where there will be perfect peace.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
