BELONGING
Poetry by M. Linda Steffey

Each person God made
Special
Like the color of their
Skin
And at our birth He leaned
Down
And breathed His Love

To some we may look
Different
Our language not the
Same
From God's sweet earth we're
Formed
From the Family of Man we
Came

To respect another's
Customs
And the way they live their
Life
Perhaps would take the wars
Away
And end all social
Strife;

The brown, white, red, and
Yellow
And the black man side by
Side
Respecting one another
By God.. each are tied!

Fear not and reach your hand
Out
Tell someone, "You belong!"
For God's Family of Mankind
With His Love, we'll grow
Stay strong!.....
