Dear Santa
All the animals in our shelter today,
Hope you'll remember us in a special way
This Christmas please grant all of our wishes,
Our dog kennels need more stainless steel dishes
Blankets and towels to place in our beds
Money for a new roof over our heads
We need laundry soap, paper towels and bleach
Give us families and homes for our love to reach
Grooming brushes to take care of our fur
Litter pans will make all our kitties purr
'Friendly Field Turf' for our grass never grows
We love how it feels,
it tickles our toes
Adoption counselors to help find us a home
Bring us doggie cookies and tasty milk bones
Volunteers to teach children in schools
Kindness to animals and all pet care rules
Puppy and kitten chow are always a need
Plus rabbit, ferret and 'small wonder' feed
Leashes and carriers so we don't run away
Paper towels and cleaners and Frisbees to play
Blow dryers to groom us so we can look neat
Nail clippers to trim the toes on our feet
Electric heaters for when the temperature drops
A Coffeepot for our employees, their love never stops
Fill up our Critter Banks all over our City
It helps us to care for each puppy and kitty
Safe toys for our kittens and puppies
Cages for birds and aquariums for guppies
Electric can openers to help in our dinner
A new TV in our Education Center would sure be a winner
Lots of donations to help in our cause
Please don't forget us, dear Santa Claus
We know you love children; it's the right thing to do
Please remember all animals, we believe in you too!
