Do I play the music or does the music play me?
by Diann Sheldon

As I listen to the music
And get lost in the sounds
The smooth melodic melodies
Embrace me all around.

My mind begins to travel
To places far and near
My spirit gently rising
Like the music of spheres

Floating up so gently
Colors vibrant and so clean
The colors are magnificent
Transparent Crystalline

As they float up to the sky
The notes now do play me
I feel my body vibrating
The same as them you see

Tears of joy well in my eyes
And over flow like falls
And fill my heart with beauty
Knocking down the veil of walls.

And every time this happens
These words I always say
How great thou art my Father
I thank you Lord my God

For granting me this moment
That some may think as odd
No longer am I the player
But become the angle's harp
It elevates my spirit
As your love it fills my heart
