I Am
By Mark Edgemon

At what part of one's life, do they acknowledge their purpose
Or do most souls slip from one moment to the next, absent of meaning,
Unwilling to understand why they are alive with opportunity;
Their ambition, lost on trivial time wasting; bereft of significance.
The absence of a mission claims for us, "I don't know why I am here".

But with a calling, a soul can create, free to find inspiration in his world.
But what about the power to propel forward; the motivation to move,
To overcome one's fear, to break free of the inertia, which holds us back?
Obedience is our catalytic converter, adapting energy and funneling it through
Our bodies, our minds to perform our tasks with distinction. We are to be overcomers!
