If I was an Angel
by Sharon Ann Kieffer

If I was an angel, I would come to you
With my crown and magic wand,
Hand it to you to make any wish upon.

If I was an angel, I would sit upon your bed,
Watch you sleep as I gently touched your head.

If I was an angel, it would not be for long.
Because, the love I would feel for you in God's
Eyes would be wrong.

I've watched you sleep and touched your head,
I fell in love with you the first time we met.

If I was an angel, I would ask God to make me human,
From heaven let me fall, right into your arms,
Where I long to be.

If I was an angel, this would be my wish for me.
