Now and Then
Poetry By Gerard Haughey

now and then
you cannot just like me for what I can do,
you must like me too-
You must say Thank You!
You must love me too.

I am There, but my wrath is near
I gave you life, you are alive-
but you are there, not Here.

I want you Home but not just any 'you'-
only the righteous and good hearted shall enter
my Home-

only the suffered and burdened shall see my Throne-
and the first shall be last and the last shall be first.
These all shall Live in Glory With Me.
