For what reason are you thankful today?
Is it as a Christian you were taught to pray?
Are you only thankful for the things you see?
Or are you more thankful then that like me?

I am thankful for the freedom that has been won.
I am thankful for what the brave have done.
I am thankful for the life I live.
I am thankful for what God does give.

Are you thankful for freedom at the price it was bought?
Have you ever said as much to those who fought?
And then there is all that has come into your life.
Are you thankful for your children, husband or wife?
 
To be honest I am thankful for all I speak of above.
For the family I have and for their love.
I am thankful for all that comes my way.
I am thankful for meeting the people who come my way.

Could you be thankful for the talents you have been given?
How about all those who come into life while you’ve been living?
Could you be thankful for all the things you’ve been taught to do?
Are you thankful for the gifts God has given onto you?

Yes I am thankful even for the people I meet.
I am thankful for the food that we eat.
The abilities we all have been given to share.
The ability to know the love of God is always there.
