Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
The lovely light snow
falls gently
into our bare-tree woods,
Small green pines
already sparkle
with a coat of purest white,
A group of deer scamper,
raising puffs of snow-dust,
The birds and squirrels
hustle to find food
before the blanket deepens;
Snow batting covers every surface,
muffling sounds
and smoothing
all the world’s hard edges;
My mind slows down
to match the rhythm
of the steady
falling snow
As the softest
kind of peace
descends
around me.
