The Canvas of Life
by Carol Popp July 2l, 2007

Out on the balcony peering into space
I can remember as a child
Just watching the clouds sail by
As they drifted gently over each other
And passed the seeming endless days, the evenings
Gazing into the sky, the sunset ...the wafts of wispy puffs of cottony time
Sifting through the air and darkness closing down upon the horizon
Like a curtain in the final act of a play
And this, being eternity seems so long,
The stroking of God's brush across the canvas of life
Day in, day out, filtering through the pages of inclusion
Piercing the scenery with the depth of it's
Intensity, over and over, as time moves slowly along.
