The Tangled Web
by Kelli O. Kersell

This precious world on which we live,
Is balanced on delicate strands.
A sacred, woven Web of life,
Upon which all things stand.

Each strand is woven in delicate array,
Into every other.
And every action undertaken,
Always effects another.

Every time a strand grows weaker,
Or each time a thread is lost.
The web grows ever more tangled,
Though we seldom see the cost.

The web grows weaker everyday,
As the holes continue to grow.
We kill off the world around us,
But don't see the danger we sow.

So the web closes tighter around us,
As more strands cease to be.
We feel the balance slip further away,
And still we refuse to see.

What effects the web effects us all,
The animals , the plants, the air.
We need to stop and look around,
To take some time to care.

We're all connected by the Web of life,
No strand is ever too small.
The Web grows ever weaker,
We can help mend it...
Or we can fall.
