We Exalt Thee
Poetry By Gerard Haughey

My Father,
Who art Thou, Oh Dearest God?
My self, is of Thee?
Oh God, my heart yearns for Ye

And I am on my knees.

I speak to You, oh God
Throughout my days
So, long that I breathe
Of Ye,
For Thou, Oh God
Breath, Ye gave to me

What have I done,
Such as this,
Where once we were One
And here as now
I write this to You-
A sinner.

You know Oh God
My eyes weep by this-
For I have come to know my ways
Oh, how then have You, God
Kept me this far?

That I would die would fit best
But me, Thou Loving Heart Hath Kept-
Thou Called My Name
Oh God-

Thou Called My Name Oh God
And I breathe, by Thee
What Way Oh God would Ye Redeem?

Oh Father, oh my dear Father
Will Thou hole my hand forever?
For Thou hath given me to the One

To The One
To The One
Who was to Come
To The One

Of David
My God
Ye Son, Thou Did Crown To Come

Jesus
Thou Prayed for me
Upon Thou Hour
I, far from yet, my breath

But I had heard
Heard Thy Word
And knew from thence forth
Who, indeed Ye were

My love.
If my mind veiled, could not know
Mine heart did tell me so-

Thou Came for me
For us, of Thee

No, Lord
We are not of this world
As are not, Ye-
No- we are not

My God,
Thou Son hath Revealed Ye, to me
And I wept-

This Cross is Heavy, my God
But I walk, Thou Son is before me-
Pained and scorned and hurt, my time

Of Christ
The Son
My Savior
Who Baptizes with Thou Holy Spirit
Hath Come-

Upon me.

He Loves me,
Somehow.

He Has Saved me.
