WHAT'S IN MY HEART
By: Karina Hinton

This is a poem / prayer that I wrote to GOD in a time of brokenness.
I thought I would share it with you.

LORD, SOMETIMES I FEEL SO CONFUSED
SOMETIMES I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO
SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE GIVING UP
BUT IN MY HEART I KNOW TO MUCH
SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE GOING BACK
SOMETIMES EVERYTHING SEEMS SO BLACK
SOMETIMES I JUST NEED HELP
SOMETIMES I JUST NEED OUT

LORD, I KNOW YOU'RE REAL
PLEASE CHANGE THE WAY I FEEL
TAKE AWAY THIS EMPTINESS
AND OVERFLOW ME WITH YOUR TENDERNESS
OPEN UP YOUR ARMS SO WIDE
THAT YOU TAKE AWAY THE PAIN INSIDE
LAY YOUR HANDS UPON MY HEART
SO I CAN HAVE A BRAND NEW START
CHANGE THE WAY I FEEL INSIDE
SO I CAN LOOK YOU IN YOUR EYES
AND SERVE YOU UNTIL THE DAY I DIE
AMEN
