When the Prey Becomes the Hunter
By Mark Edgemon

When the prey becomes the hunter,
Fighting back for their survival
And more over their self respect;
It is a rare but mighty thing to see!

When justice is no longer abated
And the victim finds the will to win;
Evil quickly learns fear, before they know death;
Such is the way of the overcomer!

Fear dictates the mind of the hunted,
It chains their might, humbles their will,
Until their capture becomes expected
And their only thought is to run.

But on occasion, a reversal of misfortune,
For the pursuer of the weak and innocent.
The power to transform the once hunted,
Was born from the knowledge they could.
