WHERE HAVE OUR IDEALS GONE

What has happened to our ways of thought?
And what of the ideals for which; we fought?
Did they go with wind upon a bye gone day?
Or have you the people let them slip away?
Within our ideal do you not believe?
One Nation, under God, His blessing to receive.

What of the history of Old Glory?
Has it to you become a simple story?
A story of bloody wars and days gone by:
A story telling of; how others did die.
Have they become simply of the past?
Ideals of God and patriotism not meant to last?

Upon such ideals on which path do you follow?
The one filled with beliefs shallow and hollow?
How far have you wondered from the true path?
Do you even know if it will lead you to God’s wrath?
Has the love of One Nation under God become forlorn?
Or is it there sleeping in your heart like a new born?
