Yourself or God?
Poetry By Gerard Haughey

amiss, askew
the man, sayeth
the man, he knew

of such things as truth
through and through
the parts of speech
that join and conjoin
the paragraphs, each-

as thread behind her needle
in and out,
in perfect journey
to the perfect place
she rests, and there is completion-
of incomprehensibility

and she rests, right there, forever more.

and when it's all unveiled
and spake through His breath
the Words that comb over the soul
are the Words of Life and Death
no more or less
this is not a test
no one will place...

this is about Faith-

do not say a cross word
that crosses The Word
or you have called God a liar.

you can't do the Word?
no one can.
but the One He Sent-
The One whose message was heard-

do not say, in contrary retort
that any thing is okay
contrary to His Way-

it will not matter what you thought
and the Sword of His Tongue
in the Highest Court-

cuts through it all...
our truth falls
His Truth is True
Forever more

it is better to say
Oh, Father I know what Thou say of my way and fear to be slayed- than to say Oh, Father

I am the way I am,
and I'm going to be okay

and that you did not Repent
pours Wrath o'er they days, forever poured for in the afterflesh, free will, is free no more.

so did you Believe?
you say 'yes'
 but in what?
