Preparation

Carob Cocoa is quite a nice warm vegan treat on a cold day, or for any time your heart desires, especially for those who are trying to avoid eating chocolate. It is thick and "creamy". And since Carob is much sweeter than Cocoa, you may not need to add any sweetener; by itself, it tastes like bittersweet chocolate. In fact, since we started making it, we prefer it to trying to make the traditional cocoa without milk.

Mix the Carob powder and corn starch in the water until smooth.

Heat the ingredients on the stove top in a pot with occasional stirring, or hear an individual cups in the microwave oven, and add a little vanilla and stevia (if desired) mixed in.

Serve and Enjoy!

Vegan FlagThe above recipe is in keeping with God's creation intent (Genesis 1:29-31): 'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food." And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.' (NIV) Let no animal suffer or die that we may live!
