From Jereme - 7 Jul 2004 we have very differnt belifes i belive that God put animals on this earth for food and companionship. killing animals for sport and just abusing them is wrong. thanks Jereme Reply from Frank L. Hoffman Dear Jereme: Thank you for your note. You said that killing animals for sport or just abusing them is wrong. We agree, and since 95% or more of all animal products come from abused animals, how can we justify eating them? Theologically we obviously do differ; but I would like you to consider that in Eden, before the fall, there was no death or eating of animals, and neither is there in heaven, and Isaiah paints us a picture of the Peaceable Kingdom (Isaiah 11:6-9) where there is no death or killing. Everything in between is because of the corruption of the earth; thus, the eating of flesh was granted by God as a concession to evil humankind.
