From Roger Alexander 24 Aug 2005

My people have been murdered for this land. My lands have been stolen from me. All was taken from me. How do I make a small living? I EMBRACE MY TRADITION. I am  a native Alaskan.

Reply from Frank and Mary

Dear Roger:

We truly empathize with you and the past atrocities committed upon Native Americans. I'm of Jewish heritage and millions of my people were slaughtered in Europe in the middle of the last century. But violence never justifies more violence. We need to learn to live in peace with each other, with the animals, and with the environment which supports all life.

We don't know where you live in Alaska, or anything about you, so it's hard to suggest other ways of making a living. However, we have found that anyone who truly wants to work, can usually find a job that doesn't involve killing.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
