I can't stand seeing animals mistreated even at slaughter houses. I understand we need to eat them, but their living quarters should be at least bearable until they are put to death.

Actually, we don't need to eat animals.

If people didn't eat them, and ate a whole plant food diet, they would be a lot more healthy, and the animals wouldn't suffer.
