Moo-ving people toward compassionate living

Letter from Leslie Holfeltz - 1 Apr 2006 Animal cruelty is too sad for me to talk about. Every time I think about it I cry. It's not something I really want to share. I want to tell other people, but I don't want them to feel how I do and how I always will. I wanted to be a veterinarian but now I don't. I'm already a 2 week long vegetarian. What else should I do? Is that all I can do? Reply from Frank and Mary Dear Leslie: The only way compassionate changes occur is when people get emotionally involved, as you all too well know. Whatever emotional pain you feel it is nothing compared to the pain and suffering of the animals. We understand that you don't want to talk about these things, and the animal abusers are counting on that so that they can keep their cruelty a secret. The only way we're going to stop the cruelty is to expose the truth and demand an end to the abuse. In the Love of the Lord, Frank and Mary Return to Visitors' Comments |
