Thank you for showing this awful side of what we call the animal industry...

I raise paint horses.  The horse industry has it's own cruelties, with premerin farms and horse slaughter for food in other countries!!!  It is Horrific, what some people will do to further their life styles...

I believe our animals are our companions and we need to care for them and about them!!!  I have quoted proverbs 12:10 so many times in my own life, it touched me that you used that scripture.

I was horrified to see what these poor animals have gone through.  I have a friend that owns a "meat hog"; he is neutered, but Hampton will never be butchered, he is a pet!!!!

When I first met him, he looked terrifying to me with his tusks and deep growl, I would not get close to him, but he broke out of his two acre pasture to be closer to everyone, and I have gotten to know him personally... I LOVE him now He is soooo cute and sweet if you scratch his back he flips over to have you scratch his tummy.  He has made friends with most of the horses and he has run of the whole place.  Now he travels around eating with the horses and he and one of the mares, have become great friends!!!  He will lie down and she will stand over him, we have even caught them nuzzling and Fawna (the mare) grooming him!!!

I have never known a hog personally, but Hampton has stolen my heart!!!  I wish everyone could get to know a "Hampton", they would think differently about eating pork ...

Thank you

Andrea Edwards
