I have been vegan for over three years. There is a bit of a curve to learning to feed oneself (and others) but I made it through and am doing well. I do not miss meat/dairy at all, to those who may wonder. I found it was the sauces, sugars, and seasonings I liked anyway and that time away from those, the memory of my last entirely plain peice of meat have caused all cravings to go away. I used to have 'mystery ailments' - that is I most always felt poorly, had headaches, allergy symptoms, and general malaise and no longer do.

I forgot about the photos and even though they made me sick, sitting here eating my almond butter sandwich and drinking my hot carob drink, I am thankful I stayed on the site (besides the recipes), to be reminded that each vegan person saves about 78 animals a year. Count me and mine in.

Thank you for bringing awareness and thank you for the recipes too. I can't wait to make banana cream with the peanut butter fudge topping.
