In Heaven
Poetry By Anthony James

I am perfect, Lord
Nor do I sin, now

For Thee, Oh Savior
These ways of old
Are laid, rest.

At long last, O' King
Who found me full of drugs
For You O' Friend
Who looked at me
And said my name?

So close to death
O' God-
If I were strong
I'd muster a bow

But I am in Your Arms
Right now
So close, my Soul
To that pit

To that pit, O' Ye spoke
I found it in Thy Word
O' Ye

Who looked direct in me
Through my Heart
Ye Love did Rush, my King
And heard in my ear

"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting"?

I would never have let go of Your Hand, O' Jesus
But that Ye, did bring me to sleep
Did my hand fall loosely

And fell into Thy Angel who watches over my Soul

And back we went, to my room
And I woke...
Knowing /death and hell/

O' God I cry out
O' Jesus

And I hear Ye say to me

"I am with you"
"You are Saved, Gerard"

Sing Praises... Ye shall Live Forever with me
Sing Praises...

I am perfect, Lord
Nor do I sin, now

For Thee, Oh Savior
These ways of old
Are laid, rest.

My tears are wiped away
Joy fills me
Weakness falls to Strength

And I am free.
