What Moves Me
Poetry By Anthony James

One step at a time
Watched closely in His eye-
Lifting a man dead in sin
Too weak to climb

'Come'  'Come'
The Gentle Father whispers
Holding the hands of men
Who became children again

 Greeting us each day
Feeding us each plate-

How Great our God!

Trial, tribulation
Even death and Resurrection
I turn my head slow
As to look around
For I know He is my Salvation

One day at a time
Stay oh stay my soul within His Mind
Upon his Arm, my head does rest
Lifting me Higher
My God to His Breast

Oh, to be Loved
Oh, to rest.

And to move forward
On a Wind behind my sails
Moving me to Life-

The Savior, Jesus Christ
Too weak to climb

'Come'  'Come'
The Gentle Father whispers
Holding the hands of men
Who became children again

 Greeting us each day
Feeding us each plate-

How Great our God!

Trial, tribulation
Even death and Resurrection
I turn my head slow
As to look around
For I know He is my Salvation

One day at a time
Stay oh stay my soul within His Mind
Upon his Arm, my head does rest
Lifting me Higher
My God to His Breast

Oh, to be Loved
Oh, to rest.

And to move forward
On a Wind behind my sails
Moving me to Life-

The Savior, Jesus Christ
