Preparation:
This peanut butter and banana sandwich on sweet potato flatbread is a real treat for children of all ages, among whom we count ourselves. The spicy flavor of the sweet potato flatbread really adds to the enjoyment of this sandwich. It’s great for lunches, snacks, breakfast, or anytime.
Follow the instructions for making the Sweet Potato Raisin Flatbread. Cut the flatbread into two equal halves.
Spread a layer of peanut butter on each half of the flatbread.
Peel a large banana, split in half lengthwise with a knife, and place the banana halves on one half of the peanut butter covered flat bread, cutting the banana as necessary to uniformly cover the peanut butter.
Turn the other half of the flatbread over on top of the banana, so that the banana is sandwiched between the layers of peanut butter and sweet potato flatbread. Cut the sandwich in two for easier eating.
Enjoy!
The above vegan recipe is in keeping with God’s creation intent (Genesis 1:29-31): ‘Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground– everything that has the breath of life in it– I give every green plant for food.” And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.’ (NIV) Let no animal suffer or die that we may live
