Preparation

For more detailed information on freezing banana pieces, refer to Banana Cream.  It is best to freeze the walnuts, also. (We store our shelled walnuts in the freezer to keep them fresh.)  We use two bananas per serving.

For each medium sized frozen, sliced banana add 1 Tablespoon of pure maple syrup, preferably cold (We store our maple syrup in the refrigerator.), and 1 Tablespoon of carob powder.

Place frozen banana slices, the maple syrup and the carob powder in the container of a high-speed blender, such as a Vita Mix. Cover, and run it at high speed until the bananas are creamy smooth. Use the tamper to work all the banana pieces into the blades. (When using the tamper, make sure that the cover is firmly in place.)

Immediately, spoon out the Banana Carob Maple Walnut Cream into dessert bowls, as shown in photo. Add the frozen walnut pieces to the  Banana Carob Maple Walnut Cream as you spoon it out into each bowl, and sprinkle more on the top. If you want to make more than one batch, place the already spooned out Banana Carob Maple Walnut Cream in the freezer, while you prepare other batches.

Enjoy!

The above recipe is in keeping with God's creation intent (Genesis 1:29-31):  'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.  And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food." And it was so.   God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.' (NIV)  Let no animal suffer or die that we may live!  (d-32)
