Open the can of pinto beans and drain off the liquid.  Place the drained beans and all the other ingredients into the container of a blender, cover, and run blender at high speed until smooth.

If your blender does not have a tamping rod, you may have to stop the blender once or twice and mix the ingredients with a spoon or spatula to ensure that all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together.

Scoop the pinto bean dip out of the blender container into a serving (dip) bowl.  This dip also makes an excellent topping for baked potatoes, as shown in the photo to the right.  (To see the recipe of the baked potato with pinto bean and salsa dip, click on the photo or link)

The above recipe is in keeping with God's creation intent (Genesis 1:29-31):  'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.  And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food." And it was so.   God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.' (NIV)  Let no animal suffer or die that we may live!  (d-31)
